We are expanding the employment team and are looking for a number of Employment Advisors to join our team in Leeds. 1x FT Post with Community Links (37 Hours) 2x FT Posts with Touchstone (37 Hours) We aim to provide a high-quality service by adhering to the principles of best practice, working positively with diversity and promoting equal opportunities. The service expects all its employees to carry out their duties in a professional manner with a client focus, ensuring that respect and courtesy is shown to them, colleagues, other service providers and all those in contact with the organisation. You are expected to uphold the values and ethos of the Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service at all times.
**OUTLINE OF POST**: Purpose: This role is part of an employment advice service, integrated within a long-established IAPT service which provides psychological therapies to people with common mental health problems. The post-holders will support individuals with common mental health problems to gain, return to, or retain employment. Leeds IAPT is delivered by a partnership of four organisations, and the Employment Advisor will be expected to work collaboratively with partners within a matrix management framework. The post holder will work with people from a wide range of age groups and cultural backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary and must be committed to equal opportunities and delivering an inclusive practice.
To work closely with therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and others within LMWS, to ensure the client benefits from an integrated care approach To liaise and work in partnership with employers, trade unions, Jobcentre Plus and other organisations in support of clients. To signpost clients, where appropriate, to other services for support. To complete all necessary paperwork including file notes and action plans. To attend team meetings, organisational events and regular management supervision as required.
To follow organisational policies and procedures. Participate in team meetings and other meetings as required. Represent employing organisation in a knowledgeable and professional manner at all times. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
Identify own training and development needs in conjunction with your line manager and participate in training opportunities as directed. Partake in the employing organisations Personal Development Review system. Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post.
