Job Summary:
We are looking for an Estate Worker for a Prestige Housing Estate (Wynyard Hall). Extending to more than 600 acres the Estate encompasses a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial property.

As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of the Estates outdoor spaces.

This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of landscaping techniques and the ability to operate various tools and equipment.

**Duties**:

- Perform general groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming lawns
- Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Operate power tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Remove weeds, debris, and litter from outdoor areas
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance and repairs
- Dig trenches for planting or installing new features
- Perform routine maintenance on grounds keeping equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in grounds keeping or landscaping preferred
- Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and principles
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in grounds keeping
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively

**additional Qualifications and Skills**:

- General practical Estate maintenance experience
- Horticultural knowledge desirable
- PA1 and PA6 qualifications desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to work well in a team and on own initiative
- Full driving licence

**Benefits**

This is a full time position working 5 days out of 7 on a seasonal rota.

Salary - Minimum Wage

This is a challenging and rewarding long term role for a practical, self-motivated individual.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: £22,131.00 per year
