**Background**
Wilderness Tribe CIC was established in 2020 following the growing need for people to reconnect with each other and nature. We harness the power of nature and connections to overcome social isolation, improve wellbeing and build peoples resilience.
Our aims are to use the power of nature to tackle Mental Health issues, reduce social isolation, And help people to move forward reach their true potential. Since launching we have supported over 300 people to improve their mental health across North Wales, Cheshire and Greater Manchester. Wilderness Tribe incorporate their mission and values into all their work. The main projects Wilderness Tribe currently delivers are:
**The Everyman Tribe**: Everyman Tribe is our 8-week programme where we come together in the woods to learn bushcraft skills and also take time for ourselves and learn more about ourselves.
**Talking Fire Circles**: Our talking circles are a place to come and talk and support other men.
**Gatherings and Community Based Activities**: Ongoing events for people to attend and develop their wellbeing, this ranges from camping and outdoor adventures, gardening clubs, festival attendances and volunteering activities
Wilderness Tribe are at a crucial stage of our development as we look to employ staff that will support the development and implementation our systems and processes. The organisation has grown rapidly due to demand and as we consolidate we look to systemise many of our processes.
**The Role**
We are recruiting a Programme Support Officer for 12 months with potential for contract extension.
The post holder will work with directors, staff, contractors, volunteers and the wider community to support the smooth delivery of our sessions.
We are looking for someone who is organised, values led and highly motivated, (but not at the expense of their own self-care). Ideally the post holder will be familiar with the outdoor industry and with working in social organisations. You will have a methodical mindset and be willing to move between the various areas of the business when needed.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Promoting our organisation and events using a range of tools including via the website, social media and newsletters.
- Taking bookings and answering enquires.
- Ensuring quality communications between people who access and support the delivery of our projects.
- Supporting the lead facilitators to deliver our outdoor mental health programmes.
- Supporting the volunteer manager with coordinating and developing the organisations volunteer opportunities
- Supporting the strategic lead with running the businesses systems that allow us to do our great work in the woods
- Representing the organisation at networking events and conferences.
- Processing invoices and expenses
- Supporting with stock and equipment audits.
- Supporting evaluation and engagement work for projects.

**Experience**
- Experience of community action or development in a paid or unpaid capacity
- Arranging bookings and calendars
- Experience in the provision of advice or information services to members of the public
- Experience of administration duties
- Experience of supporting volunteers
**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of the impact and approaches of outdoor therapeutic intervention
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality And GDPR
- Understanding of health and safety requirements for delivering outdoor activities
