The business was founded by husband and wife James and Natasha Shepherd in 2013. The couple heard about the story of Britain’s oldest biscuitand decided to bring it back
Since then, the company has won numerous awards for quality and innovation and their North Wales bakery holds SALSA accreditation.
The company currently offers two main brands/products:
- Aberffraw Biscuit Co
- Shepherd’s Welsh Biscuits
The company’s ethos is to produce handmade biscuits of the highest quality while being mindful to minimise the impact on the environment and improve the local community.

- Shepherd's Biscuits is looking for someone to work in their award-winning bakery in Llanrwst on biscuit packing and production. Ideally the person will have food-handling experience (and Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate) but full training will be given.
Key functions include preparing and baking biscuits; sealing and packing the finished product; cleaning down after production.
The company holds SALSA accreditation, so bakers will need to operate at the highest level of hygiene and have a keen eye for detail to ensure the quality of the final product.
