The London Campus opened in 2019 and offers a range of Postgraduate Taught programmes and Apprenticeships in the disciplines of Business and Technology. We have 700 Master’s students and Apprentices and are set to grow further over the next few years to 1000 learners. The campus is situated in a self-contained, five storey building right in the heart of central London with a contemporary and innovative environment for all our stakeholders to enjoy. The role sits within the Professional Services job family and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff family, working with academic colleagues in London and York to help deliver its academic mission.
**The role**
This opportunity will see you work in the London Campus and be a key role in supporting the London Campus Strategy to inspire students and graduates to their full potential.
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Placements, the post holder will lead and manage the menu of career support services designed to optimise career confidence, employability skills, work readiness and personal development with a focus on international students.
The position will see you lead on the employability and Year in Industry module, preparing all students on a two-year degree for their second year in professional experience. As a relatively new campus in London, you will further revise, update and create career development and guidance material.
This role will offer 1-1 career appointments for students, as well the delivery of career focused sessions to larger groups. You will work with the Head of Partnerships and Placements to delivered tailored session to further support students heading into their year in Professional Experience.
You will also assist with structuring and managing the new London Career Centre, LaunchPad London.
With the main campus in York, there will be opportunities for you to travel to York for occasional career sessions for York students to prepare them for opportunities in the capital.
**Required skills and experience**
Key requirements include:

- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- A relevant professional Careers qualification, studying towards, or the willingness to undertake the qualification
- Experience of working in a student careers-related field
- Current knowledge of the graduate labour market and recruitment practices.
- Ability to design and deliver innovative training solutions to a wide range of students and graduates.
- Knowledge of how technology can be used to engage students.
- Experience of designing and developing electronic learning resources using a range of media and technologies
- Experience of delivering group sessions to students
