**Job Title**:Childcare Practitioner ( Early Years Level 2 and Level 3 )

**Apprenticeship**:Early Years Level 2 and Level 3

**Location**:Various locations offered such as Brighton, Hove, Peacehaven, Worthing

**Salary**: Ranging from £4.81 - £9.57 depending on placement, age, and experience

**Full time**: 30 hours - 42.5 hours a week

Next Step Apprenticeships work with a variety of nurseries in the local area, who are searching for apprentices that are keen to work within the Childcare industry. Offering the opportunity to gain a recognised Early years qualification, get valuable workexperience and the opportunity to develop your skillset whiling learning.

**Responsibilities**
- Our apprentices learn from the opportunity to be hands on, working alongside qualified Early Years Educators and Early Years Teachers who are there to support and train you throughout your journey
- Alongside the practical learning you will also complete theory and course work with guidance from friendly and supportive tutors, your line manager, and of course, your fellow apprentices too
- Working together with the rest of the early years team providing high quality care for children
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery
- Support the nursery staff to observe, plan and maintain accurate children's records
- Develop a good understanding of Safeguarding Policies
- You will be involved in the planning of the activities in the room to create a stimulating environment.
- You will develop positive relationships with all the children and use your developing knowledge of child development to ensure their individual needs are consistently met to the highest standard
- To support a commitment to the theory and practice of equal opportunities
- To ensure an adherence to the health and safety policy relating to the provision of play
- To support senior members of staff to ensure put appropriate Child Protection procedures into practice.
- To ensure that all information pertaining to the nursery, its operation, children, staff and parents remains confidential
