**Peabody**has an exciting opportunity for a **Skills Trainer & Pastoral Tutor - Care & Support (Peabody Academy)** on a full-time, permanent basis based in **South East London. **In return you will receive a competitive salary of **£39,000 - £43,000 per annum.**

**What we're looking for in our Skills Trainer & Pastoral Tutor - Care & Support (Peabody Academy)**:

- Experienced in delivering high-quality lessons/ learning programmes in a variety of learning environments including classroom-based and online- A teaching qualification (at least a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths as a minimum- Knowledge and experience in delivering Care & Support within the care or housing sector and associated qualifications and how to transfer knowledge to learners- Experienced in working within the OFSTED Education Inspection framework- Experienced in working within awarding body quality frameworks and being part of an IV process- Strong teaching, learning and assessment skills and the ability to adapt and personalise your teaching approach to provide context and meet the needs of all learners
**What you can expect to be doing as our Skills Trainer & Pastoral Tutor - Care & Support (Peabody Academy)**:

- Preparing and reviewing lesson plans, schemes of learning, and teaching/ learning materials using initial assessments and marked work to take into account the learners’ starting points and individual needs- Planning and delivering engaging and exciting lessons and tutorials to inspire and motivate learners in Classroom, online, and workplace environments, depending on the apprentices’ line manager requirements- Preparing learners for End Point Assessment and/ or examinations to gain the appropriate qualifications- Improving learners’ experience through providing ongoing support as required and carry out duties linked to assisting with the quality of support and learner engagement including conducting learner voice activities- Assisting in the writing, design, and development of curriculum through planning and standardisation meetings and attend all planning and coordination meetings as required- Delivering in-house tutorial and pastoral support aligned to our Quality Assurance framework, including the setting of SMART targets via individual learning plans (ILPs), monitoring outcomes, and identifying at risk learners
This Skills Trainer & Pastoral Tutor (Care & Support) role will require an Enhanced DBS check.
