Maintenance Operative

Job Title: Maintenance Operative / Painter & Decorator

Purpose of Job: Responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day, which could include, but is not limited to: carpentry work; electrical; plumbing; painting, decorating, HVAC; flooring; general facility repairs.
**Reports to: Operations Manager**

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order
- Rewiring, changing fuses, junction boxes etc.
- Plumbing and carpentry
- Clearing or cleaning general areas
- Shifting furniture or equipment
- Assembling furniture or equipment
- Footpath maintenance
- Painting and decorating
- Clearing gutters
- Changing filters on air conditioning systems
- Maintaining property exterior through the different seasons
- Carry out flooring works as to when required
- Troubleshoot general problems
- Repair and replace general hardware
- Attend to members of staff promptly when called upon
- Painting of walls, ceilings, skirting boards, doors and door frames and other areas
- Carry out works in a tidy manner and remove stains and paint when necessary
- Carry out and record monthly health and safety
- Silicon and grouting
- Cut and lay new tiles
- Install flooring
- Build new furniture or cabinets
- Keep maintenance storage tidy at all times
- Store paint and other cleaning chemicals in paint cabinets only

**The job holder will also**:

- Observe and adhere to the companies’ policies and procedures, undergoing relevant training and development to fulfil the requirements of the Company and the post.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
