Orbital Welder

Metalis Engineering recruitment are currently supporting a leading Aerospace manufacturer who requires an Orbital TIG welder to join their team.

You'll be manufacturing products for prestige clients such as Rolls Royce, Boeing, Air Bus, GK Aerospace, Safran to name a few.

**ROLE OUTLINED**:
You will be responsible for the manual and orbital TIG welding of rigid and flexible tube assemblies, brackets and components.

As an Orbital Welder you will be complying with AS9100 and NADCAP approved manufacturing. The role could also include fabrication or finishing operations.

**Salary**: £15.31 - £17.00 per hour (Subject to experience)

**Hours of work are Day's Regular**:
07.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7am - 12.30pm (Friday's)
**From time-time, some workers do work on an Afternoon shift**:
3pm - 1.00am (Monday - Thursday)

**DAY-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Orbital and TIG Welding tube assemblies for the aero sector
- Brazing and fabricating pipes
- Trimming and setting pipes
- Working to tight tolerances and specification from engineering drawings
- The use of measurement equipment such as shadowgraph, Vernier, micrometers for inspection and fabrication purposes.
- Worked with a variety of materials such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminium and Inconel
- Ability to use and maintain orbital and manual TIG welding equipment
- Welding qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven track record of working within a similar position (aerospace sector)
- Experience working with a variety of materials
