**Who we are looking for**:
A Network Technical Lead who will focus on providing technical expertise and governance across the Networks and Security department.

You will focus on the Cloud, Cyber Security and Content Delivery technology areas across the Networks and Security department.

As a key member of a highly skilled engineering team, you will liaise with Architects, other Technical Leads and the engineering teams in pursuit of the overall departmental and business strategies.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a major role in ensuring our Network Infrastructure remains available, stable and secure. Your technical experience will help us ensure that we can deliver this objective, whilst also meeting the technical challenges created by the continued growth and agility of such a fast-paced technology business.

**Preferred skills and experience**:

- Ability to translate high-level business requirements into an appropriate technology solution, with experience of using tools that support automation such as Python, Ansible and Jenkins. In addition, you will have an in depth understanding of network technologies with a focus on Cloud, Cyber Security and Content Delivery.- Ability to develop solutions directly, working with Architects and Engineers alike to ensure that proposed solutions are in line with and satisfy strategic requirements.- Proven ability to design complex enterprise-class multi-vendor solutions, ideally with previous experience working with some of the following vendor technologies; Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, RioRey, Citrix, Cloudflare.- Ability to produce appropriate documentation to convey solution design which includes but is not limited to HLD’s, LLD’s and TDG’s.- Confidence in building proposals, presenting findings and promoting the Network and Security department by developing relationships with peers, wider team members and senior stakeholders in the business, including experience of working with 3rd parties. Excellent awareness of Network and Security best practice and significant experience in designing compliant solutions that balance the need for Security against business agility.- Understands the need for, and follows both Information Security Policies, and business processes, such as incident management, change, and problem and configuration management.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work by shifting focus as and when required, with previous experience of strategy planning alongside a track record of technical mentoring. In addition, being self-motivated and a strong team player with a positive “can do” attitude.**Main Responsibilities**:

- Contributing to defining the departmental strategy with a focus on Cloud and Cyber Security technologies.- Identifying new ways of working or new technologies that give us the flexibility to choose the right tool for the job.- Leading new technologies, liaising with 3rd parties and defining success criteria.- Working with Architects, Technical Leads, Team Leads and the Management Team to determine governance and appropriate frameworks for technology managed by the Networks and Security department and providing the Senior Network Manager with options and context to aid decision making.- Reviewing project SOW’s, assessing the implications for Networks and Security whilst having technical input, including assessing technical designs, standards and process documentation for network components and services.- Having a significant input and oversight with some of our more complex technology solutions and change requests.- Performing periodic reviews of our current operational posture and capacity, proposing changes as necessary.- Ensuring that we have the relevant products and tools in place to ensure the Network remains stable, available and secure, whether that be on premise or Cloud based solutions.- Providing a senior escalation point for the engineering teams, playing a key role in the technical development of others within the team whilst driving a collaborative “can do” attitude.- Providing critical out of hours escalation support for the Network Engineering and Content Delivery Network teams as required.**Want to become part of the team?**:
