Quality and Technical Assurance Officer

We are looking for an experienced Quality and Technical Assurance Officer who can carry out, UKAS, ISO9001, ISO17025, Health, Safety, and Environmental audits on our systems, procedures, and policies. A person who can also carry out UKAS and Self Verification engineer audits and assessments and who has the drive and determination to ensure our quality certifications ISO9001, ISO17025 UKAS, Module D self-verification, and Safe Contractor requirements are adhered to. The role involves liaising with external bodies I.E. British Standards Institute, UK Accreditation Service, Safe Contractor, and the UK Metrology Board, and managing external audits. This is a key role and essential to ensure our quality management systems are effective.
**Duties**
You will hold the following duties and will be reporting to the General Manager.
- Carry out Internal, ISO9001, ISO17025 UKAS, and Module D self-verification audits at our Head Office.
- Carry out service engineer audits to ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO17025 UKAS, and Self Verification (Stamping) Module D requirements in the UK and Ireland.
- Liaise with external certification bodies i.e. UKAS, British Standards Institute, Safe Contractor, and UKMB, and manage, report, and close out any findings from external certification audits.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of company health and safety including new starter inductions, risk assessments, fire and method statement reviews, accident and near miss reporting, DSE assessments, COSHH, Fire prevention and company toolbox talks, and health, safety, and environmental audits,
- Oversee and manage customer complaint investigations, reporting, identification of root cause, and effective resolution.
- Oversee accident investigations and reporting.
- Maintain environmental records and company compliance with environmental legislation.
- Carry out UKAS signatory oversight requirements to ensure UKAS Generated Calibration Certificates are correct before issue.
- Work closely with all management to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement of products and services.
- Carry out annual management reviews in accordance with all certifications held by the company.
- Respond to customer contractor questionnaires.
**Experience & Skills**
- Proven ISO9001, ISO17025, and/or Self Verification Module D Quality Assurance management experience.
- Proven Health and Safety management qualification and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain working relationships at all levels.
- Have effective presentation and training skills to translate legislation into everyday language, with skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Competent quality and technical auditor.
- A person with the willingness to learn.
- A person who can analyse data and identify where improvements are required, and ensure they are implemented.
- Good PC skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite

**Qualifications**
- Recognised auditor qualification.
- Health and Safety Qualification - NEBOSH or equivalent.
- Business or management recognised qualification.
- Technical qualification City and Guilds/ HND Electrical/Mechanical.
