**Job and Person Specification**

**Job Title**: Manufacturing Operative

**Responsible to**: Production Manager

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work in various sections of the manufacturing process, including sanding, shotblasting, final assembly, and quality control
- Operate hand and power tools, specifically a 9” grinder/sander
- Ensure all products meet high-quality standards
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Solve problems as they arise
- Meet production targets
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
- Attend training sessions as required

**Person Specification**:

- Previous experience working with hand and power tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work towards production targets

**Additional Information**

**Type of Employment**: Permanent

**Working Hours**:

- Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-5:00pm with 3 breaks (10:00am-10:15am, 1:00pm-1:30pm (unpaid), 3:00pm-3:15pm),
- Friday: 8:00am-3:00pm with 2 breaks (10:00am-10:15am, 12:30pm-1:00pm (unpaid))

**Location**: Wellington, Somerset

**Remuneration**: Starting rate: £11.50 per hour with the pay rising to £12 per hour after a performance review in 2 weeks

**Additional Benefits**:
**Probationary Period**: 6 months

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.00 per hour
