**LOGISTICS COORDINATOR**

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a multi-billion dollar, global food business, based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. To support their continued growth and development, they are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join their fantastic clients Import Logistics team.

They are looking for somebody who is eager to join a busy team in a fast-moving business. This would ideally suit somebody who has been in a similar role for 2+ years.

The Role

Duties & Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Log & Track all shipments
- Scheduling of all contracts and shipments directly with suppliers
- Establish freight rates directly with shippers and hauliers
- Establish and verify duty rates
- Ensure all documentation with regard to import regulations with the EEC is in order and correct
- Liaise with nominated clearing agents
- Timely and accurate completion of import and export customs entries and declarations
- Update inhouse computer system in accordance with the company’s day to day business practices

(system currently being updated)
- Liaise with clearing agents in a timely manner to ensure that all documentation is in order and presented to them to avoid excess handling charges
- Work with the senior management team to ensure a smooth process
- Providing goods traceability reports for Technical Department
- Adhering to the full requirement of the role with respect to Food Safety Legality and Quality, In line with Food Safety & Quality Policy
- Support other colleagues or departments when necessary
- Any other reasonable request

The Person
- **2-3 years + in Logistics/shipping/transport - import (essential)**:

- Knowledge of EU and non-EU import and export processes
- Producing and dealing with international shipping documentation
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment - working to deadlines and changes ability to react to short notice changes to suit operational requirements
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proactive, ability to work using own initiative
