The YMCA Robin Hood group provides temporary supported accommodation for young people, refugees, unaccompanied asylum seekers, children leaving care and vulnerable adults across Mansfield and in our network of transitionary homes across the Ashfield region.

We are looking for a Maintenance Worker to join our Housing team to undertake a range of carpentry, joinery and other maintenance work for our properties. Whilst you will be based in Mansfield covering for the large property there, you will also be expected to travel to other locations across the county when required.

You can expect your day to day role to include:

- Undertaking a range of carpentry, and joinery jobs
- Carrying out repairs and general maintenance
- When required, undertaking a range of other maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, and gardening.

About You

You will have experience of working in a qualified trade position as a joiner / carpenter, as well as maintenance or caretaking in a work environment. A relevant trade qualification to at least level 2 in joinery and / or carpentry eg Level 2 / 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry, NVQ 2 / 3 in Carpentry and Joinery, level 2/3 Bench Joinery, is also highly desirable.

Not essential but it would be highly beneficial if you had a driving licence so that you are able to travel around our portfolio of properties to provide cover and help support your colleagues across the region cope with peaks of work. No vehicle is required as you will be provided with a fleet vehicle and all the tools needed to do your job.
