We are looking to recruit Highways Operative to join Origin Infrastructure Services Limited.

Within this role you will have a good general understanding of working on high speed roads and civils works. You will need to work as part of a team and express excellent communication skills.

As a Highways Operative will follow instructions from, Gangers, Supervisors and above, alongside complying with site rules and Origin’s Health and Safety policies.

This role does carry authority to immediately stop any unsafe practices on-site until a safe alternative is agreed with the Ganger, Supervisor and their Contracts Manager.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities - **_not limited to;_
- Maintain site fences, walkways and signage.
- Undertake small works as directed by Supervisor/Ganger
- General housekeeping across the site
- Material movements
- Assisting Operatives and Supervisors as and when required
- Unloading of deliveries
- Monitor supply levels

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**
- Multi skilled in aspects of civils works
- CSCS Operative Card
- NH Passport (preferred)

**Person Specification**
- Ability to work as part of a team
- An understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation
- Full clean driving licence

Transport and PPE are all provided, a full site induction will be carried out upon start.

As part of the role you will be required to work throughout the UK, with a variation of day works and night works. You may be required to lodge on a week by week basis dependant on the work location.

Please note pre-employment D&A testing may be required.

**Salary**: From £130.00 per day

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift

- CSCS (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
