We are Galeta Bakery, our story started in 2011, with a market stall stacked high with home baked cookies. We’ve grown a little since then but our values have never changed.

We have outgrown our current premises in Perivale and are moving to a brand new purpose built bakery in Hayes Middlesex in January.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a site handyman to join our bakery team. You will be an important part of our team, maintaining general standards around the bakery to the highest level and leading general maintenance within the site

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular site inspections and identify areas of maintenance or repair.
- Carry out minor joinery, plumbing, painting, and electrical repairs.
- Assist with site preparations and clean up before and after project.
- Set up, maintain, and safely dismantle equipment.
- Collaborate with the project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure tools are kept in good condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Offer solutions to on-site issues and work proactively to prevent potential problems.

**About you**:

- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in basic tradesman skills such as joinery, plumbing, painting, and electrical repairs.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent English language communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity; capable of lifting and carrying heavy items when necessary.

**Desirable**
- Fork lift license

**Hours & Shifts**:

- Full time is 40 hours per week
- 5 days across the week including some weekend working as required
- Basic shift pattern starts at 8am but may vary depending on activities required
- Permanent contract

**Benefits based on your experience**
- £30,000 salaried full time
