IVCC (Innovative Vector Control Consortium) was established in 2005, through an initial $50million grant to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

IVCC is the only Product Development Partnership (PDP) working in vector control, which is a key part of the global fight against malaria, a disease which affects some of the most vulnerable communities in the world.

Following huge success and impact with the PDP model; bringing together partners from the industry, scientific research institutions, country programs, and other stakeholders for the development of new public health products, IVCC has a robust pipeline of new product opportunities, and are on track to support the development of novel vector control tools for the market. This will ultimately save lives and increase prosperity for some of the poorest communities in the world, which is the vision IVCC strive for.

To achieve this, IVCC has identified a need to strengthen the Technical Development Team, and we are so excited to be hiring for two brand new Field Entomologist positions to support us on this journey.

The primary focus of these roles will be to support technical activities in the core pillars of IVCC’s strategy. One position will focus on the development of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) and Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) products, whilst the other will work on the development of tools to address outdoor transmission and spatial emanators.

These positions will support laboratory and field trials (primarily in the area of entomology) designed to support vector control product development projects with partners.
