Assembly Operatives

**Due to shift start and finish times, you must have access to your own transport/vehicle or live local to Belper (able to reliably walk/cycle)**

Starting rates from:

- £12.60 on morning shift (up to £15.92)
- £14.36 on afternoon shift (up to £17.68)
- £15.29 on overnights (up to £18.61)

(Hourly rates of pay differ by shift, and also increase with length of service here on site.)

Shift rotation:

- Day shift: 06:00 - 14:30 - Early finish of noon on Friday's (working 06:00-12:00)
- Afternoon shift: 14:30 - 23:00 - Early finish of 18:00 on Friday's (working 12:00-18:00)
- Night shift: 20:30-06:00 Sunday, 23:00-06:00 Monday-Thursday

**Please ensure you are completely flexible to cover all 3 shift rotations before applying**

If you have past assembly and production experience, we want to hear from you We also recognize that a variety of past experiences could provide you with the transferable skills that would allow you to excel in these roles. Full on-site training will allow you to quickly understand the tasks required of you and the machinery used is intuitive. Experience in the following areas is desirable: working with tools, working to time targets, mechanic, electrician or building trades.

What will you be doing?
- Always meeting health and safety requirements and committing to always working safely
- Working on an assembly line, putting goods together in a factory environment
- Working to time targets (ensuring completion of tasks at your station while still ensuring quality)
- Safe set up and use of machinery, working with hand tools
- Report any issues with machinery or goods on the assembly line

(As you gain more experience and responsibility, you may be required to train or mentor new members of staff or run specific sections.)

Who we are looking for:

- A strong eye for detail, ability to perform a task consistently, and notice any errors that the individual, the machine, or colleagues make
- Good with their hands, high level of dexterity
- Able to listen carefully to instructions and carrying them out specifically and in the correct order
- Able to ask for help and follow procedures safely
- Punctual for every shift
- Self-motivated and driven by targets (These may be by number of items assembled, or work completed per hour)
- Able to consistently learn and implement quality assurance
- The ability to maintain concentration and focus on highly repetitive tasks/workload
- A positive person who can take initiative where appropriate
- Good communication skills and work well within a team
