Lunch Cover Practitioner

Our Early Years Practitioners are the backbone of Kingwood Children - they bring their knowledge, experience and natural enthusiasm to deliver outstanding teaching and learning, enabling children to achieve their full potential. It goes without saying that all our practitioners should be able to build and maintain strong relationships with our children and their families, and to foster a love of the outdoors and the magic of the natural world.
Specific Accountabilities / Primary Responsibilities:
- Support children’s learning and development, and individual needs across all our age groups, to ensure mealtimes are a social experience, where children enjoy delicious home cooked food, sitting together and developing independence in serving, eating and clearing away their food, crockery and cutlery.
- Role modelling high expectations, with a committed and enthusiastic approach, to our children.
- Fostering a love of the outdoors and nature, exploring the wonderful world around us.
- Facilitating and supporting with mealtimes - promoting our ‘family meal’ approach.
- Communication with parents via handovers and direct messages.
- Working with parents / carers of children with additional needs in order to facilitate their inclusion into the setting.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £11.50-£12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
