The clinical aspect will involve supporting, preparing, assisting and chaperoning clinic activities and procedures, ordering of stock, maintenance of equipment, recording of patient’s observations and phlebotomy (or willingness to undertake training) The administrative aspect of the role will include, booking appointments, call handling, maintaining patient records, updating records and act as the first point of contact to patients and visitors.

Both roles will help in the delivery of holistic care to patients whilst enhancing the patient journey in line with the CCS Clinic Assistant job description. Ideally experience in both areas would be advantages.

This appointment is to the join the iCaSH Peterborough team at our Peterborough clinic as a Band 2 dual role Clinic Assistant for 37.5 hours per week. This is a substantive post.

Promote and maintain a welcoming approach to all patients, maintaining awareness that they are often anxious and will be sensitive to the reception they receive.

Ensure Patient comfort and dignity is maintained at all times.

Maintain a non-judgemental attitude at all times.

To maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.

Contribute to the on-going assessment of patients.

Enable patients to maintain their religious beliefs and relationships where appropriate.

Support patient’s carers and colleagues when they are distressed.

Move and handle patients safely in accordance with the CCS Policy.

Ensure accurate, timely documentation in patient records.

Assist in ordering and maintenance of stock levels (clinical and non-clinical supplies).

Support audit process.

Prepare for and assist with any clinical activities and appropriately designated clinical procedures.

Chaperone clinical teams members when examining patients/clients.
