Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is growing, with more than 11,000 members of staff; working within our team you will be responsible for advising and supporting managers to ensure appropriate responses to any related employment issues that arise.

No two days are the same and you will have autonomy to manage a caseload, working in partnership with an ER Manager, to coach managers in employee relations, including sickness absence management, disciplinary, informal grievances and capability processes.

The Employee Relations team is instrumental in embedding the NHS People Plan, and the Trust's own values - Together Safe, Kind, Excellent, and your role will contribute towards our Just and Positive Working Culture.

Ideally, you will have an understanding of employment law, be CIPD qualified or have substantial proven experience of working within HR managing a caseload.. The ER Advisor role will suit someone with excellent communication skills, who is agile in their approach and able to translate service issues into proactive solutions whilst supporting and educating managers through our HR processes. You will need to be methodical, organised and demonstrate a strong ability to prioritise.

To provide support and assistance on a range of employment related issues such as capability, disciplinary and grievance.

To robustly support case management of routine employee relations issues in collaboration with Employee Relations Managers and line managers across the Trust.
