This role description is designed to give an overview of the role of the Kitchen Porter and is not exclusively limited to the activities described below. Specific annual objectives will be set as part of the Black Rock Beach Club Annual Performance Management processes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Black Rock Beach Club is a new addition to the Porthmadog scene. We are looking to create a destination where locals and visitors alike find a place that they will return to again and again. The role of the Kitchen Porter is essential for keeping the high standards of cleanliness that we expect in our kitchen. This role will work with the kitchen team to ensure those standards are met at all times. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to gain practical experience working in a professional kitchen environment

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
- Collect and wash up pots and pans.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
- Unload food and equipment deliveries.
- Keep the storeroom organised.
- Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised.
