IT Risk & Control Analyst - Blackburn - £40,000-55,000 + Benefits
An IT Risk & Control Analyst is needed to join one of the UK's fastest-growing retail businesses. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure IT Controls & Systems are successfully designed, implemented, and maintained, and IT risk management practices arein place and adhered to. You will play a key role in tackling emergency risks and reducing technology risk exposure, as well as working with the wider IT team to deliver new IT controls.
The team are currently following a hybrid working model, so you will need to work from their Blackburn office at least 3 days a week.
**Your Responsibilities**:

- Support test plans/script creation
- Manage issues and actions, mitigation solutions and remediation activities to drive improvements and consistency across the IT department
- Identify process and make recommendations for improvements.
- Provided support to control operators through 1-2-1 IT Risk and Control training sessions.
- Liaise with internal and external audit as required.
- Provide support and guidance to project teams.
- Support with the embedding of IT controls into the business.
- Drive an effective risk and control culture across the business by acting as a risk and control ambassador.

**Key Skills**: - Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP
- Previous experience working within IT internal audit or external audit teams
- Experience creating test scripts and co-ordinating activities
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) - beneficial
- ITIL, COBIT knowledge would be beneficial
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
