Logistics Controller

Generator Power is the UK's largest and privately owned generator rental company having enjoyed over 25 years of supply in the industry. Generator Power has experienced rapid growth in recent years and is undergoing further expansion providing an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Controller to join our team at our Normanton Depot.

Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week, 8:00AM - 17:00PM
- **Duties/Responsibilities**_

To provide logistic support to the whole Company;
To ensure all transport movement is logged and analysed;
To Produce Weekly/monthly reports on ways for improvement to current processes;
To assist the Logistics manager;
To ensure all Delivery / collection note are passed to Drivers + outside transport is a timely manner;
Assist with booking of all Deployments and collections internal and External;
Negotiate cost with outside suppliers for all Deployments + collections;
To Download Driver cards on a weekly basis,

Ad Hoc duties within other departments as and when the company dictates.

Route planning of Deployments / collection in accordance to driver times, rules and regulations;
Ensure company vehicle or occasional loan vehicle supplied, is kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within manufacturer’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner;
Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect;
Always act in the best interests of any of the Generator Power Group of Companies, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute;
Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices. Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Normanton, West Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Logistics: 2 years (preferred)
- Strong Administration: 2 years (preferred)
