Following a review of our team structure we are excited to advertise the role of Safeguarding Specialist Practitioner
- Adults

This is a permanent position, predominantly working from home with some requirement to travel across the East Midlands.

This role will be integral to the delivery of the safeguarding agenda at East Midlands Ambulance Service.

To support the day-to-day safeguarding work streams of both the children and adults at risk agenda. Supporting the Safeguarding Leads in all activities pertaining to the Safeguarding agenda necessary to ensure that the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities.

Be responsible to and accountable within the managerial framework of the employing Trust.

Working with members of the Safeguarding Team to assist the development and implementation of strategy and policy.

To support safeguarding processes, interpreting national policy and statutory requirements to ensure compliance and best practice is achieved.

To assist the Safeguarding Leads and Safeguarding Coordinator on a day-to-day basis.

Represent the Trust at external and internal meetings.

To represent the Safeguarding Leads as a deputy, internally on all matters pertaining to the safeguarding agenda as required.

To support the Safeguarding Leads in the development and delivery of safeguarding practice, for the protection of children and adults at risk.

Assist operational staff to understand and implement safeguarding policy, guidance, and procedures for safeguarding which are compliant with legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements, and best practice.

Contribute to and support the facilitation and delivery of the Statutory and Mandatory training and educational products for safeguarding.
