Sign Maker

Mixit Signs & Visual Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced sign maker / sign fitter to join our fantastic team. We’re looking for a multi-skilled sign maker / sign fitter to start immediately.

The role will mostly include the making of various types of signage at our base at Team Valley, Gateshead and installing different types of signage locally and nationally.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Making up printed and vinyl signs
- Helping our assembly department on larger signs
- Installing all types of signage from fascias, totems, post signs and graphics
- Understand different fixing methods
- Understand drawings and follow job sheets
- Work Safely and responsibly.
- Have min 2 years' experience in the sign making / installing industry
- Be a quick learner and enjoy working on multiple different projects simultaneously

Skills & experience required for the role:

- Ability to read detailed drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Organised with ability to meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills both verbal and written
- Vinyl working skills
- Sign installing skills
- Knowledge of basic electrical concepts
- Computer literate
- Willingness to work overtime as and when required
- Use of power tools

Qualifications & characteristics:

- Qualified signage installer, must have done the job before.
- Able to read and accurately interpret drawings and job sheets
- Experience operating a range of sign making equipment
