- Skilled Welder/Fabricator**

Due to high demand for our specialist products, **Houghton Parkhouse** are looking for a Skilled **Welder/Fabricator,** with an interest in in vehicle body building industry to join our team.

**Houghton Parkhouse** **Ltd** are a multi award winning, market leading company, specialising in the design and manufacture of new commercial custom-built livestock transporters, semi-trailers, vehicle platforms and related products

Based in South Cumbria, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Lake District National Park, with excellent infrastructure, local services and very good schools. Convenient quick access to Kendal, Lancaster, M6 and surrounding areas.

**The role involves**:
Fabricating and welding high quality aluminium large and small assembly’s which are often bespoke

Learning, modifying and perfecting the welding processes and product we make,

- a confident Alloy MIG welder - (Experienced Steel fabricator will be given consideration)
- able to work mainly unsupervised.
- able to monitor production of their own work for quality and conformance to set specifications
- apprentice trained and/or in possession of relevant welding/engineering qualifications
- High quality welding experience of specified materials such as stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
- Experienced in MIG welding

- Normal hours are 8.00 am until 4.45 pm, Monday to Friday

Rate of pay dependent upon experience and skills.
