Lead Counsellor - £34k pro rata - West Bromwich - 3/4 days per week - Hybrid Working
**Your new company**
This is an established charity that provides a range of specialist abuse support services to women, men and children across the West Midlands area through a trauma informed approach.
There wellbeing service underpins all victim support services providing a range of therapy and counselling support to adults, children, group sessions as well as specialist interventions as well as providing resources for victims to take away. As well as providingall victim support services, they are responsible for appropriate employee support and clinical supervision. The service is ambitious to develop further and expand further both internally and externally.
**Your new role**
As a lead counsellor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company only works with competent and experienced counsellors and monitor and audit them accordingly to ensure that their professional practise is always of sound clinical judgement. You willlead in clinical decision-making working closely with counsellors to ensure agreed professional standards e.g., BACP are maintained.
The post holder will report to the counselling and wellbeing Manager who leads on the overall systems and operations for the service.
**What you'll need to succeed**
This role requires a dynamic, proactive and capable person to ensure a high quality counselling and wellbeing service is available and accessible. You will identify suitable counsellors and volunteers for the service development and learning, whilst then managingcurrent cohort of counsellors and managing their development within the service.

This role offers a salary of 34k pro rata with the opportunity for flexible and hybrid working arrangements. This is the start of a brand new service that currently sits within the organisations Corporate services but with the planned development and expansion,provides a great opportunity to come in and mark your stamp on the important project.
