**Senior Project Engineer (Rail) - Gatwick - 9-month contract - £450/day**

Our client is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to work on a Station remodelling project at Gatwick station. The rate is £450/day inside IR35. The role is working for a Tier 1 contractor.

As the senior engineer you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the railway systems package which includes the remodelling of the fast lines at Gatwick Airport and the construction of a new concourse whilst working in close proximity to theoperational rail. The role will include the management of Section/Site Engineers and Subcontractors.

**Skills, Experience and Education**
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline ideally
- Able to provide respectful challenge and feedback to Clients, suppliers, senior managers and stakeholders
- A collaborative style that can bring teams and individuals together and motivate them.
- Experience of working on Network Rail projects and being familiar with relevant Rail standards
- Experience of working on complex station projects > £50m
- Plan the works, attend, support and lead Risk Readiness Reviews, write WPP's, approve TBS's, conduct weekly TRM and engagement, support daily start of shift briefing,
- Must have a proactive "Can do" attitude
- Professional approach with excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ensuring key project milestones are achieved.
- Attend and support co-ordination meetings as well as labour and plant reviews.
- Ensuring that our works are planned and delivered without any adverse impact on the station, airport or operational railway.
- Working closely with the commercial and planning team to ensure the contract is administered correctly with the Client and supply chain.
