**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Clinical**:
Providing a continuity in ward cover alongside an SHO colleague
- Regular middle grade led ward rounds
- Acute reviews in the Emergency Department, on the day unit or via telephone
- Contribution to weekly registrar clinic alongside middle grade colleagues
- Providing support for junior colleagues within paediatric gastroenterology
- Close working with MDT colleagues including specialist nurses, dieticians and pharmacists

Opportunities

Below is a list of services provided by the department. The priority of this role is to ensure the duties above are undertaken. Attendance at scopes lists would be expected in line with GRID training opportunities. Attendance at all other clinics and meetings is encouraged as time pressures of the role allow.
- Endoscopy lists 3/week including some interventional endoscopy
- Unscheduled endoscopy activity
- IBD clinics - consultant led - paediatric and transition as well as nurse led
- IBD MDT - local and regional
- HPN clinic
- HPN MDT
- Outreach liver clinic (Leeds 8/year)
- Local liver clinic
- Immunology BMT
- Joint Immunology and Gastroenterology clinic
- Joint Allergy and Gastroenterology clinic
- Inpatient Cardiac nutrition MDT weekly
- Dietetic led coeliac clinic

**Administrative**:

- Presenting patients and co-ordinating weekly MDT meetings
- Contribution to outpatient prescriptions

**Research**:

- Contribution to active research projects within the department
- Taking part in continuous professional development

**Teaching**:

- Co-ordinating junior colleague level teaching
- Contribution to MDT teaching
