Accounts Payable Assistant

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join Fugro. Based in Falmouth, you will be responsible for invoice processing and supplier data management.

You will report into the Accounts Payable Team Lead and will be part of the team responsible for the overall accounts payable process for multiple entities whilst reporting on accounts payable balances. You will provide guidance to drive prompt resolution of aged supplier invoice balances by proactive communication internally with the business and with our suppliers.

Who you’ll be working with:
Within this role you will be a contact point and responsive customer service provider for the Company’s Service Lines and departments across multiple entities. You will work closely with your colleagues in the Accounts Payable team, the wider Shared Service Centre and Project teams.

Here’s what a typical day would be like:

- Posting invoices, ensuring current coding, VAT and approvals.
- Processing changes in master data and ensuring proper authorisation.
- Handling AP related questions from external suppliers, and Fugro entities.
- Assisting with month-end close duties.
- Identifying improvements in the AP processes.

Who we’re looking for:
Essential
- Previous accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work to strict deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication.

Desirable
- Experience of Microsoft Navision and PSO.
