We are seeking a diligent and experienced SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Advisor to join our team based in Harrow.

Providing specialist construction consultancy services which support our internal organisations we lead with improved methods of working. We are part of a family owned construction company which has grown to be a market leading UK construction and infrastructure support services group who work with some of the world’s largest companies and leading UK public sector bodies to deliver prestigious, complex and challenging construction and infrastructure projects across the UK.

**Job Overview**:
As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that health, safety, environment, and quality assurance standards are upheld across our group of businesses. Collaborating closely with the SHEQ Team, you will drive proactive and efficient day-to-day management of SHEQ systems. You will be an integral member of a vibrant and proactive SHEQ Team with the ability and skills to assist in continual improvement across the group

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and update comprehensive SHEQ systems in alignment with safety, health, environmental regulations and quality standards, maintaining adherence within the workplace.
- Aid in employee training initiatives.
- Compile SHEQ meeting data and record minutes.
- Conduct toolbox talks and Safety stand-downs to engage the workforce.
- Assist in internal and external auditing operations alongside the Group SHEQ Lead and Compliance Manager, ensuring accurate monitoring of unsafe behaviour or regulatory breaches.
- Create and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), evaluating risks and hazards in all operational facets.
- Conduct SHEQ inspections at projects/sites, producing detailed reports.
- Ensure correct adherence to management systems and procedures.
- Contribute to safety plan creation, proposing enhancements to existing infrastructure and group processes.
- Share insights and observations with project leadership to standardise SHEQ protocols across the group.
- Support in achieving group SHEQ goals.
- Participate in accident and incident investigations, liaising with enforcement authorities under the supervision of the Group SHEQ Lead.
- Aid in accident and incident prevention and control efforts.
- Assist in reviewing and reporting on employee compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Support with third-party approvals and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).
- Engage in ongoing education to stay abreast of health, safety, environment and quality protocols and knowledge.
- Willing to travel within the UK as needed. (mainly London area)

- Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
- Experience working in the construction industry and possession of a relevant CSCS card.
- Nebosh certificate in construction or equivalent national level 3 qualification.
- Environmental management national level 3 qualification.
- Full UK Driving license.

This role is primarily office-based at our Head office in Harrow, with travel to customer/group sites as operational needs dictate. The standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required. As situations and workloads may vary, employees are expected to cooperate in working outside normal hours when necessary
