Premises Maintenance Assistant

**The Vacancy**
The Premises Team is responsible for all planned and unplanned maintenance of all our properties including Head Office, the Branch Network & Commercial properties. We are looking for a Maintenance person who is passionate about 1st class customer service with an innovative mind to join our well-established team.
**The role**
Working within the Operations function specifically within the Premises team, a key requirement of the role is to provide high standards of support to the team carrying out various repairs and tasks around our Head Office, branches and other owned properties & buildings, ensuring clear communication with internal/external stakeholders and continuous adherence to our documented operational procedures and controls. The role holder will be integral to the smooth running and organisation of our maintenance team, which provide support to all Cumberland Properties.
This role requires someone who can work flexible hours, as property maintenance works may need to be undertaken outside normal business hours.
A company van will be available to use, so a full British driving license is essential.
**About you**
We are looking for someone with:
- A construction trade qualification.
- A good knowledge and understanding of safe working practices.
- A good knowledge of property processes, procedures, and policies.
- A good general knowledge of carrying out maintenance for a variety of tasks and checks to ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained within all the Building Society premises.
- Ability to carry out all delegated premises repairs including decoration and minor repairs within the capabilities of the role to comply with all H&S requirements.
- Structured and logical approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to work effectively under challenge and to continually learn, understand where and how improvements can be made.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships, both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication
- The ability to identify and effectively manage risks and issues.
