**Salary**: £27-34k

We are currently working in partnership with a leader in the field of advanced polymer compounding, with a global footprint. Dedicated to technological leadership in the development and production of

high quality rubber compounds, with over 60+ years’ experience.

You will develop and review the procurement function with focus on continually improving the processes and effectiveness of the department. Liaising with Group purchasing to coordinate and deliver

strategic objectives. Working closely with the internal stakeholders to ensure improved inventory control and cash management. Focusing on continual cost reductions through better practice, negotiation

and introducing new products / suppliers.
- On behalf of the company performs supplier review and negotiations as appropriate.
- Works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to forecast and manage the supply chain to ensure raw materials are in place as required
- Focus on value engineering through introducing new products and supply chain approaches
- Working closely Purchasing Administration team.
- Regular reviews with Technical department to help drive NPD and product approvals.
- The job holder is required to actively promote best practice throughout the company.
- Develops plans to ensure cost reductions.
- Collaboration with Technical Director and Commercial Director identifying formulations/product groups to value engineer to increase revenue.
- Establish and maintain personal contact and rapport with all departments.
- Collaborate with Commercial Director to ensure customers are kept up to date with general raw material market trends.
- Collaborates with Sales Administrators to improve customer and product awareness.
- Collaborate with Credit Controller to improve payments terms and resolve payment disputes and or invoice queries.
- Participate/contribute to Contract Review process for new product orders to ensure raw material requirements are reviewed
- Become and embrace being an Ambassador of Group culture both internal, external personnel as well as customer base.
- Issue succinct reports from key supplier visits.
- Participate in regular personal development reviews to identify areas for further personal development.
