**We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our team at Lavender Grove Cares Residential home in Romford. As a Team Leader you will play a critical role in providing care, guidance and support to children in a residential setting. You will be responsible for leading a team of support workers and ensuring the well-being and safety of the children under your care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of support workers, providing guidance, support and supervision.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members effectively..
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration and professional development.

**Care and support**:

- Ensure the physical, emotional and social well-being of children in our residential home.
- Develop and implement individual care plans for each child, taking into consideration their unique needs and preferences.

**Safeguarding and Risk Management**:

- Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, promoting the welfare and protection of children.
- Assess and manage risks within our residential home environment, implementing appropriate safety measures.
- Respond effectively to incidents and emergencies, following established protocols.

**Collaboration and communication**:

- Collaborate with external agencies including social Services and educational establishments, to ensure the holistic care and and development of children
- Participate in team meeting, case conferences and training sessions to share information, discuss strategies and enhance professional knowledge.

**Qualifications and skills**
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role within a children's residential home or related setting.
- A relevant qualification in Children's Health and Social care.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations and make sound decisions
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.

Pay: £25,350.00-£27,300.00 per year

**Education**:

- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 2 years (preferred)
- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred)
- Child Workforce DBS on the update service (preferred)
