Our client is world’s leading manufacturers in the heavy industry sector based in Penrith is looking for an experienced, hands-on process supervisor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fun, fast-paced team where you can learn and develop.

**The role**:
Our client is currently looking for two Process Supervisors to join their team. As part of your role, you will direct, lead and co-ordinate a team of production, contractor and engineering (when required) personnel on a 12-hour shift basis.You be will ensuring that production targets, plant maintenance, quality and customer standards are met safely and economically.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**

You will manage a team of up to 12 personnel, providing training, coaching and development plans as required. The Process Supervisors' responsibilities will include;
- Controlling and organising labour to achieve safe operations, plant performance, cost, training, quality and customer related objectives. Oversee performance to ensure standards are high and discipline maintained.
- Oversee daily operations to achieve planned throughput to satisfy customer orders. Establish task priorities for the shift and make changes where necessary to ensure quality and volume requirements are met.
- Carry out statutory safety inspections and record findings in the prescribed paperwork.
- Assess operator’s performance on a continuous basis and identify training where necessary. You will conduct an appraisal interviews and create/agree training plans with staff
- Review operating practices to seek continuous improvement in labour utilisation and plant efficiencies.
- Maintain a working environment, which meets all safety and environmental requirements.

**Essential skills**
- Previous experience within a Production/manufacturing unit and leadership of such would be desirable.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and act upon large amounts of information, with a keen attention to detail. In particular, be able to understand, analyse and interpret data and trends
- Hold a good understanding of IT systems and have excellent interpersonal skills.
