Handy Person

We are offering this position to join a small and efficient team at an award winning wedding and events venue: a beautiful large listed country house and its small estate.

The position is split between
- Assisting the gardener with general gardening and groundskeeping duties
- General building tasks, maintenance and upkeeping duties
- Assisting the events team with setting up

**Duties**:

- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks in residential and commercial properties
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
- Repair or replace broken or damaged fixtures, appliances, and equipment
- Install and assemble furniture, fixtures, and other items as needed
- Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Handle basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
- Perform basic carpentry/joinery jobs
- Grass cutting
- Weeding
- Leaf collection
- General tidying of outside spaces
- Assisting in setting up of the venue for events and weddings as necessary.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a maintenance person or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
