General Yard Assistants X1 Ft or X2 Pt

We are looking to find another member / s of the team following the departure of a loyal member.

Either 2 x Part time positions or 1 x 5 day full time position
- Operated over 365 days a year incl weekends / bank holidays (e.g. Christmas/New year etc.) / plus extra shifts to cover holidays

Start date
- December 2023 - Interview will include a Trial day.

Initially for a period of 6 months, leading to permanent for the right person / s.

This position will start December 2023. It will suit someone located locally, who will not be leaving the area for extended periods of time. As time continues, for the right person more shifts may become available.

Assisting in the day to day running of the yard including the care of 18 horses, 2 flocks of sheep, various poultry and other animals. A hands on role, that requires a dedicated and compassionate physically fit individual who applies initiative and attention to detail to be able to provide the best of care to all animals under our care.

The role would include, assisting the Team mucking out, handling and exercising 18 horses. Due to this, having a confident handling approach with horses is essential and a confident riding ability is an advantage. With opportunities to broaden your skills set and learn, gaining experience with a wide range of animals.

A sense of humour and motivation is essential for yourself and the ability to encourage others. Being able to work within a dedicated team and having exceptional communication skills is required to create a happy and positive work environment.

**Job Type**: Part-time x2 P/T positions OR 1 x Full time

hours: 08:30-17:00hrs

**Salary**: £5.28-£10.42 per hour (from 16 year old to over 23 year old)

Expected start date: 01.12.23
