**About the role**

The Placements and Resources Team is a small and friendly team which offers a supportive environment within the wider function of Children’s Services. The Placements and Resources Team is a key part of delivering services to children and young people in our area. Find your greatness by helping us to deliver better services to the local community by becoming part of this fantastic team.

The Placement Officer role is responsible for:

- Work with vulnerable children and young people who are either at risk of harm or in need of services, a
- Advocating for children, young people and families,
- Providing comprehensive business and administrative support,
- Carry out financial administration,
- Ensuring timely and cost-effective provision of resources and placements,
- Supporting the commissioning and development of services for children and young people.
- Undertaking the quality assurance and improvement related processes for externally commissioned services, and as part of this to undertake regular reviews, assessments and where required investigations to ensure the quality of services.
- To support the design and to implement reviews for regulated and unregulated services, defining quality standards and a process for testing compliance.
- Undertaking quality and development assessment as required in response to Ofsted judgements or other evidence, providing recommendations for improvement and monitoring and reporting on delivery.
