- As a Senior Accounts & Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will assist in the daily running of a busy accounts department and be responsible for supporting our day-to-day financial processes by producing timely and accurate financial information.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Purchase ledger**
- Registration of all non-stock invoice/credits and distribution to the relevant managers for 1st authorisation.
- Ensuring all invoices have been reviewed and returned in a timely manner for the secondary authorisation.
- Assisting with processing Goods for resale Invoices, checking to purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Supporting the purchasing department with any Invoice & pricing queries and working with them to resolve supplier Issues as quickly as possible.
- Monitoring ongoing invoice queries (Stock & non-stock) and encouraging timely resolution, assisting where possible.
- Accurate Nominal and Asset coding of all non-stock invoices/credits.
- Raising weekly supplier payment run as per the agreed payment terms.
- Completing new supplier credit account forms, supplier set up and maintaining current accurate supplier details.
- Actively looking at office processes/procedures for effectiveness and efficiency, implementing changes if required.
- Ensuring all payments/DD’s made are allocated daily and all queries are reconciled.
- Supplier Statement reconciliations
- Processing company company credit card statements.
- Monitoring company spending.
- Running GRNI report and investigating and clearing balances where possible.

**Other**
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in preparing accurate management accounts.
- Monthly analysis and review of P&L accounts against budget and prior year.
- Attend departmental reviews of P&L.
- Accruals & Prepayments
- Raise monthly recharge Invoices with supporting documentation.
- Provide ad-hoc support as necessary and provide cover for other team members within the accounting team as required.
