Merchandise Admin Assistant

- Job Title - Merchandise Admin Assistant
- Location - JD Group, Hollins Brook Way, Pillsworth, Bury, Bl9 8RR
- Working rota - Monday - Friday
- Working hours - 40 per week
**Responsibilities**
As a Merchandise Admin Assistant you will provide support to the JD Merchandising team ensuring the correct stock is on the right place at the right time to maximise profitability across all channels.
You will be responsible for:
**Stock (80%)**
- Create and maintain stock data.
- Create and maintain Purchase Orders on the JD system within a specific product area.
- Manage and ensure all Purchase Orders are received and processed by the suppliers.
**Trade (20%)**
- Chase and review arrangements of new suppliers.
- Pre-allocate new products approx. 6 months in advance via scheduling system.
- Amend and review pre-allocations as directed by Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser through scheduling reports before distributing to merchandisers.
- Produce price amendments as directed by Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser and communicate to Retail.
- Communicate merchandising aids to Retail
- Review all costs and VAT within a specific file prior to receipt highlighting to Merchandiser/AM.
- Establish collaborative working relationships within the Buying team and other teams.
- Analytical and passionate about numbers, able to use data to measure performance and identify areas of improvement.
- Systems driven, proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software
- Highly organised and strong attention to detail
- Retail focused with strong understanding of Merchandising
- An excellent communicator able to build relationships with stakeholders and to work across teams.
- Initiative and responsible, taking ownership of your work and using your initiative to deliver.
- Strong teamwork skills, being able to work with the Merchandising team and other teams to reach a common goal, sharing information and supporting colleagues.
- Positive and flexible, responsive to business needs and comfortable taking responsibility for your tasks.
**Team Structure**
