Sustainability Hub Assisstant

Y Siop Fach Sero is a Community Interest Company running a small, not-for-profit business based in the former library on Ferndale High Street. We are social, inclusive, collaborative, and our goal is to make sustainability more achievable to people in the Rhondda, and encourage people to make small changes towards living in a more environmentally friendly way.

We are seeking a passionate and competent and individual to join our small team and assist in the running of our sustainable Siop. An interest in the environment, climate change, and ethical products is essential, as our mission is to educate on these issues in order to encourage change.

The role is varied, from working in the coffee shop serving food and drinks, to assisting customers with zero waste refills, or helping to plan and deliver events and workshops. Previous customer service or retail experience is desirable, though not essential. You don’t need to have experience with all aspects of the role, as long as you are passionate about our aims and willing to learn

The role will be 16 hours per week, typically over 3 or 4 days. Y Siop is open Tuesday-Saturday, so weekend availability is a must for this position.

The closing date for this job is 9/2/2024, with interviews taking place in the week commencing 12/2/2024.

Pay: £10.42 per hour
