**Trainee Paralegal First Response**

Near Haydock Salary £18,000 plus bonus and benefits, gym membership, sponsored development etc.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm full time permanent

**Trainee Paralegal First Response**This is an excellent opportunity to start your Paralegal career in an entry level role at a large firm of solicitors you’ll be part of a team of First Response Paralegals and the first point of contact withpotential new clients. It's therefore important that you are comfortable working on the telephone and strive to provide an excellent customer service experience. You'll be welcoming new clients to the Firm and assisting with new client due diligence processes.There is no cold calling involved in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Taking initial instructions from clients, both verbally and in writing

Updating clients/sources

Sending initial paperwork out and retaining clients via E sign/arranging sign up appointments if necessary

Understanding of money laundering rules and when ID is required and acceptable

Undertaking conflict searches and understanding of the need for these to be carried out vigilantly

Training new staff entering the department as and when required

Experience/Qualifications/skills required to perform role

No previous experience required as full training will be given

Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Whilst it is not essential for a new recruit to hold a full UK driving licence, possession of a full driving licence will be required in order to progress beyond entry level in a Paralegal career

A good command of Maths and English

Must have a good telephone manner, with confidence in delivery

Be able to work under pressure with an understanding of the swift and accurate nature needed to meet deadlines
