In **Hereford,** we **provide housing and support for vulnerable adults** over the age of 18 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness**.**

**We are looking for a** Casual/Bank Night Worker **_(internally known as a Building Supervisor) to work_ as part of our growing **Accommodation-Based Services** team, covering **night shifts** as and when our staff are on leave.

**What kind of person are we looking for?**

Someone who likes to stay awake at night, can keep themselves busy during quiet shifts and is always happy to talk and help people.

**Are you ready to make a difference in people's lives?**

Your focus will be to ensure that our **buildings are safe and secure for our residents** who live there. This will also involve liaising with support staff to ensure a good flow of information between shifts through handovers.

You’ll have a broad set of responsibilities; ensuring you are aware of **who is on-site, keeping the building clean, tidy and presentable**, **undertaking light maintenance duties**, and **engaging with residents** who may need someone to listen to them.

As safety and security are paramount within this role, you’ll be expected to **defuse any situations** that may affect the safety, or well-being of residents. You’ll need to adopt sound judgement to either resolve situations yourself or seek support from peers and emergency services if needed.

A key function is to undertake **health and safety checks and walkarounds throughout your shift**.

**Demonstrating** empathy and patience towards our residents** is essential as well as maintaining **professional boundaries**.

There will be **tailored, specific training** that will help you advance through a training pathway and progress during your career at CCP.

You'll work as part of a tight-knit team of Night Building Supervisors, Support Workers, and a Project Manager.

Experience in interacting with a **diverse cross-section of society** would be useful in this role. However, this is not essential as training & induction will be given.
