Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Tamworth, Staffordshire for a Transport Planner

Hours of work:
Monday - Friday

Usually 10:00 - 18:30

Flexibility required between the hours of 06:00 - 19:00

Pay

£26k - £28k per annum

Description and key responsibilities as a Transport Planner:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Transport Planner.
- Day-to-day tasks in transportation planning and operations management to ensure the efficient movement of goods.
- Planning deliveries and collections within our postcode areas which include 30 of the B, CV, WS areas
- Managing 10-12 pallet line drivers daily
- Daily communications with depots/hubs as well as customers ensuring POD's/deliveries and collections are on time.
- Briefs and de briefs to both drivers and warehouse staff ensuring all freight is loaded and delivered as well as a key eye for H&S.

Qualifications and skills required as a Transport Planner:

- Transportation Planning, Transport Modelling, and Transportation Management skills
- Experience in Pallet network operations.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers, depots & hubs.
- Experience with geographical postcodes and planning.
