**Van Delivery Driver (UK)**

**Position Overview**:
As a Van Delivery Driver, your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently transport goods and packages to designated locations throughout the UK. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service. This role requires adherence to traffic rules, excellent time management, and effective communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Safe Transportation**:
Operate the delivery van in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and company guidelines. Maintain a focus on road safety and minimize risks while driving. Maintain a great cleanliness of the vehicle along with ensuring the daily vehicle checks are carried out.

**Delivery Schedule**:
Follow a predetermined delivery route to ensure all packages are delivered within the scheduled time frame. Optimize the route to ensure efficient deliveries and mínimal delays.

**Package Handling**:
Load and unload packages in a careful and organized manner to prevent damage during transit. Ensure proper handling and secure packaging of items to avoid any losses.

**Documentation**:
Keep accurate records of deliveries, including recipient print and signatures, delivery times, and any special instructions. Complete necessary paperwork and documentation as required.

**Customer Service**:
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being polite, courteous, and professional. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively.

**Vehicle Maintenance**:
Perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery van, including dailyinspections of tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels. Report any vehicle issues to the appropriate channels.

**Navigation and Technology**:
Utilize GPS navigation systems or other route planning tools to find the most efficient routes to delivery destinations. Familiarize yourself with any technology provided by the company for tracking and communication.

**Adherence to Regulations**:
Stay updated on relevant road regulations, parking restrictions, and loading/unloading zones in the delivery area. Ensure compliance with legal and company-specific requirements.

**Problem Solving**:
Handle unforeseen challenges such as traffic congestion, road closures, or difficult-to-locate addresses with a calm and adaptable approach.

**Health and Safety**:
Follow all health and safety protocols, including wearing any necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and practicing proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Valid UK driving license (usually category B) with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in delivery driving is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the local roads and geography in the delivery area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries.
- Physical fitness for lifting and moving packages of varying sizes and weights.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including holidays cover.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

**Salary**: £11.00-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
