**Salary range - £28,125 - 44,256 pro rata + £2,651 responsibility allowance**

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Curriculum Cluster Leader and Teacher of Biology with the highest personal and academic standards to lead our science cluster; someone who will strive to make a substantial difference to the lives of our students, our college and the wider community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to step into a key middle leadership role at St Brendan’s and make a substantial contribution to further improve the outcomes of our students and shape the curriculum. At St Brendan's a cluster is a group of similar courses and is led by a Cluster Leader. The Cluster Leaders all teach on one or more of the courses in their cluster.

You must be experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated research informed practitioner, with strong organisational skills and the ability to engage and inspire students and staff. Previous experience leading or managing a team would be beneficial and you will be provided one-to-one support, coaching and access to training to support career development.

In addition to leading the Cluster you will also be expected to teach A-Level Biology and BTEC in Applied Human Biology. As such, previous experience of teaching in at least one of these areas is essential.

You will be given 4.5 hours per week to undertake specific duties related to the cluster leader role and your teaching commitments will take up the remainder of your role.
