**The Company**:
We are pleased to be supporting a global manufacturing business with a base here in the North east in the recruitment of an experienced Shipping coordinator to fulfil an intial Fixed term contract of 6 months.

**The Role**:
This role forms part of a busy Supply chain department and is responsible for maintaining up to-date stock/inventory and training records.
Some of the duties include:
Retrieves stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.)
Performs other routine administrative activities according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include:

- responding to customer escalations
- order allocation,
- part profile & inventory records;
- preparing reports
- training operators
- customs compliance processes, domestic and international
- transportation related procedures and completing forms (receipt, transfer, delivery, dispatch, etc.)

**The Person**:

- Logistics / Warehousing / Supply chain back ground preferred but not essential.
- Good computing skills are required (including Excel, Oracle or similar)
- Experience with external customers and/ or supplier liaison are preferred.
