We are looking for a night warden waking nights. You will be required to start at 8pm to 8am 3-4 nights a week.

- Undertake all required fire safety checks and unplug electrical equipment as required.
- Support service users in their preparations for bedtime, including required personal hygiene.
- regular checks on the flats and service users
- Undertake continence care of any service user who requires this before going to bed and during the night.
- Undertake required observations of service users as per their care/support plan.
- especially if person has epilepsy or other need for regular observation checks.
- Maintain an environment that does not disturb the sleep of service users.
- Recording information on daily notes/paperwork.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by the service manager.
- Present a handover to day staff.
- Review care plans.
- In the event of a staff absence, arrange alternate cover.
- To administer medication
- to support individuals in there own property
- To maintain and protect the security and safety of the premises and clients.
- To have a visible presence across the premises, providing support and assistance to clients/ resident's, visitors and staff
- To ensure that access to the premises is restricted to approved visitors only.
- To be able to manage situations appropriately including liaising with emergency services and/or other agencies.
- To report and log issues relating to the personal security, welfare and safety of our clients / tenants appropriately.
- To complete regular walkarounds
- To oversee the opening and closing of the gated access to the building over night when required.
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the building.
- Report any maintenance issues to the Manager.
- Ensure all incidents are logged and managed effectively.
- Ability to work in a customer care and quality focused manner.
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and handle conflict calmly and appropriately.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- To understand the needs of people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
