Manchester, United Kingdom XYZ Reality Full time

_Recently graduated or due to graduate in 2024? We have opportunities coming for those from any construction, surveying (land surveying/geomatics/geodetic/geospatial), or engineering degree/college course background over the course of this year_
- **The position revolves around Project Progress inspections for construction installations, predominantly across Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing disciplines, using Augmented Reality technology (the Atom).**_

**Introduction to XYZ**

A groundbreaking & award-winning Construction Technology company; XYZ Reality are the creators of the world's first and only engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution, purpose built for the construction industry. Not only have we created this holographic technology, that sits within The Atom - a smart, site-safe headset - but we also provide implementation and consultancy on the Data Centre and Mission Critical projects that the AR solution is being used on to ensure that all schemes are completed according to the delivery timescales set out, and are able to fall within budget - that's what we're here for

Over the last few years XYZ has grown to over 120 staff across the UK, Europe and the US and is working with prestigious, market-leading Mission Critical organisations/construction companies to successfully deliver major projects globally.

**Junior Field Application Engineer** **Opportunity**

As an Engineer / Surveyor at XYZ, you'll be wearing the Atom and using it to eliminate construction and design errors on site, which would otherwise lead to costly and time-consuming rework. You'll visualise the design models in holograms through the visor, and provide regular updates of potential clashes/errors in what has been, or is to be, installed by verifying what you're seeing in front of you.

**What you'll be doing...**
- Conduct daily site inspections using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to ensure works are installed/being installed correctly, on time, as per the BIM Model & construction schedule.
- Produce reports based on the inspections from that day.
- Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors to plan daily activities.
- Process and review all acquired data to ensure it is accurate and reliable.
- Report to the Senior FAE's, maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring all requested inspections are conducted within the specified time frame.
- Work with the Contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme in order to de-risk incorrect installation from taking place in the field.
- Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models to export into HoloSite

**Skills & Experience**
- A college degree or diploma in land surveying, geospatial or geodetic engineering, mechanical, electrical or civil engineering, construction management, construction engineering, BIM, or similar
- A strong work ethic, ambition and interest in new technology
- Any knowledge related to 3D software (Revit, Navisworks etc) or BIM / BIM360
- Confident in using Microsoft Office - Word & Excel
- Happy to work fully on site
- **Essential**: UK or Irish Citizen, or holds ILR **(we are not able to provide VISA sponsorship)**

**Benefits of working for XYZ as an FAE**
- Gain on-site experience in the construction industry working on major projects
- 25 days’ annual leave + public holidays
- Private health insurance with Vitality
- Christmas shut down days off on top of leave allowance
- Push boundaries and deliver cutting-edge technology that is going to change the construction industry forever
- Travel and relocation opportunities

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- Company events
- Company pension
- Enhanced maternity leave
- Enhanced paternity leave
- Private medical insurance
- Sick pay

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Application question(s):

- This role will be based on a project at Manchester Airport for a 12 month duration. After this time, work may be extended, or you may move on to another project locally, or depending on project requirements, after the initial 12 months we may give you the option to move on to another project elsewhere in the UK or Ireland, or into another type of role internally. You would of course be able to seek alternative options if none of these appealed at that time. Are you happy to proceed on this basis?
- We are looking for someone to start in July 2024. Does this fit with your own timescales of when you are looking to start a Graduate position?

Work Location: In person
